Wrapping up Halloween with a thank you and one last special collection...

Margaret from Maggie's Lil' Fixins recently sent me a box of Halloween goodies.  Her box filled my entire dining room table with all sorts of fun decorations.
She also celebrates Halloween with a fantastic party each year and her house is also decorated from top to bottom.
Be sure to check out her blog for pictures of her party and decorations.  Thank you Margaret for all my Halloween treasures.
Josie loves all the bracelets that your daughter made. She's promised to share one with Emma.  Blogging friends are so generous.
Before we pack up all our zillion Halloween decorations, I'm realizing that I never shared pictures of my living room mantle all decorated for Halloween.
This is where all the fragile objects are displayed each year.
My collection of nutcrackers grows when I scour Target the day after Halloween.
A few years ago, my husband hung these windows above the mantle. This year, I decorated them with vintage black and white Halloween photos.
Soon, it will be time to think about what to put on them for Christmas!!
Have a frightfully fun time with your TREAT-OR-TREATERS Thursday evening.
We have lots of heavy rain and wind in the forecast so I think my little ninja will be visiting just a few houses and then staying home to help pass out candy.
Thanks for hanging with me the last five weeks which were focused primarily on all-things Halloween.
I say this every year.  Anyone want to come help me pack up all my Halloween chaos?  I have 20+ tubs waiting to be filled!!!

Curious Halloween Kitties!

It's time again for the annual pumpkin contest at Josie's elementary school.
We used lots of straight pins, ribbons, and miniature pumpkins for this year's entry.
We think our curious Halloween kittens are pretty darn cute.
We'll be dropping it off tomorrow evening.
Happy "almost" Halloween!

No Tricks, Just Treats at the 2013 Halloween Party!

After twenty-two years of Halloween parties, we've got this party thing down pretty good.

Chris and I counted over 100 people in attendance Friday night.
Our college niece and her friends were busy all night with their face painting duties.
Thank you, Jenny. What are we going to do when you graduate from college this spring?
We added some new carnival games this year.  The frog flinger game was very popular.
We also added a photo booth for the high schoolers.
The wand making station continued to be popular.
This is a shot of the prizes before they were distributed with each carnival game.
Everyone seemed to have a good time.
I'll let a few of the pictures speak for themselves.
I was so busy playing hostess that I didn't take nearly as many pictures as I have done in years past.
Chris came as Uncle Si from Duck Dynasty.  I recycled my cowgirl outfit from Josie's birthday party.
We rested up Saturday and then spent Saturday evening watching Emma's marching band perform at another competition.
At 11pm, we were in the high school parking lot for trunk or treat.
The van got decked out with lights, glow in the dark skeletons, Dracula and sound effects.

It's been a busy weekend.  My extended family is coming this afternoon to see the decor and enjoy some treats.  Party ON and Happy Halloween from the Kenward household!

Our many pumpkins...

My husband was up until 1am carving and placing pumpkins in our yard last night.
Yes. I was in my pjs at 6am taking pictures of these pumpkins in the dark.
He is the master carver in our family.
The girls also assisted (excuse the red eyes on Emma).
There are certain pumpkins that are constant traditions in our house (turn-back-now).
The girls names are always my favorite.
The party officially gets underway this evening at 7pm.
I'll do my best to share photos later Sunday.
We have marching band competition Saturday evening and then a very late night of trunk or treating for the marching band after 11pm on Saturday.  Josie is going to have two late nights in a row (eek)!
A full weekend awaits.
Party on and Halloween hugs from my house to your own!
XOXO
