Have a Happy 4th!

I hope you have a wonderful holiday weekend. Today, the girls have been enjoying all the sun and warm temperatures with our new slip-n-slide. There's no way my 42 year old body could do that activity anymore.

Our best friends from Chicago came for a surprise visit and the girls have had a blast together.

To celebrate the 4th of July a bit early, we roasted marshmellows and added a few red, white and blue sprinkles on top.

Yummy!
As you can tell, I love to decorate for the holidays and the 4th of July is no exception. Here are a few of my patriotic decorations.

Dollar Tree has 4th of July paper lanterns available and with a few drops of glue, glitter and some wire garland, I jazzed them up for our fireplace mantle.

One of my favorite children's book illustrators has this blog, and posted these free printable patriotic pinwheels.

I hope you have a moment this weekend to put your feet up and take life easy.

My country tis of thee, Sweet land of liberty,
Of thee I sing: Land where my fathers died, Land of the
Pilgrim's pride. From every mountain side Let freedom ring!
-Samuel F. Smith

HAPPY 4th to all of my friends and family!
Have a safe holiday weekend!
