Ramona and Beezus

Have you seen it yet?

I grew up reading everything I could find by Beverly Cleary.

In fact, I still own all my Cleary books (that's the former librarian in me...never willing to part with ANY books...thanks for saving them Mom) and I have been secretly pleased that Emma enjoys them now too.

Ramona and Beezus completely exceeded my expectations - sweet, charming, funny, with many "teachable" moments thrown in for good measure. Both girls enjoyed it (which isn't always easy with the eight year age difference). This movie will definitely end up in our personal family collection.

Each of us should remember to embrace Ramona's creative/imaginative side every now and then. What favorite movies did you see this summer?

  3. Good to hear your review of the movie! I can't say I read Beverly Cleary~ Nancy Drew and Trixie Belden books were my favorites growing up.
Looking forward to see the progress on your treehouse!

  4. I too loved anything Beverly Cleary! Glad to hear you enjoyed the movie... we will have to catch that one.
Ive had fun this morning getting caught up with your posts! Not having a computer has been terrible.
Emma looks so pretty with her hair shorter! And Chris is really coming along with the tree house. Chloe misses Josie and loved looking at all the new pictures.
I am lovin' the Halloween countdown on your side bar! Wooohoooo!
