It seemed like a good idea at the time...

Prior to Josie, Emma and I used to spend part of each weekend doing some type of craft activity. Let's just say, crafting is not quite the same with a toddler. Emma wanted to work on her scrapbook and I thought painting in her highchair was a safe enough activity (notice how she is dumping her cup of water into her paints). Thank goodness I remembered to put a paint smock on Josie before the festivities began!!

  1. Don't you just love toddlerhood???
My poor kids don't get to paint very often anymore. I just cringe at the 4 words "Mama, can I paint?". I know, it's so not fair, and I did way more creative and crafty things when I had fewer kids... I guess one more thing to add to my "guilt" basket!!
Emma looks like quite a pro scrapbooking!! Great job!
And Josie, of course, is as cute as ever (paint and all!)

  2. Kim~ you never cease to amaze me with all that you do with your kiddos. I shudder at the thought of crafts.
Eureka! Perhaps if I let Kai and Chloe do messy crafts, they will stop drawing on my walls!!!!!!
I will give it a try. Keep an eye on my blog over the next few days. heh. You have inspired me once again ;)
Kai had his first day a preschool today. The drop off went well. Glory to God!

  4. Too cute! Lyssa and Nicholas recieved painting crafts for their birthdays. We had a painting day, too. I tried to arrange it appropriately for Nora. It ended with her striped down finishing her project in the bathtub! xo, C

  5. What a brave mom you are!!!! Looks like lots of fun! The kids love using playdough, but that has stopped recently since Katelyn thinks it's food!

  6. Life changes when a toddler is around! We often wait for Ellie to take a nap to do some of mine and Josie-Tatum's favorite things.
Thanks for all of your prayers,
    Robbie

  8. Hi, I found your blog through a comment you left on the Oatsvall blog. You have a darling family. My oldest daughter (3) was wanting to paint today also and even though she does a pretty good job with it, it is my 2 year old that makes me cringe. Luckily, I was able to find another activity that took her mind from painting as I really didn't want to have to clean up that kind of mess today.

Thank you for following our adventures. I always enjoy reading your comments. Happy crafting! Happy thrifting! PS. Ignore that "robot" verification. You can ignore/skip that step since I can't seem to remove it from blogger.
