Surgery "might" happen after all!
This will teach me for posting something and having it completely change in a matter of minutes. The surgical nurse at Devos Children's hospital would like to evaluate Josie herself before we reschedule her surgery.
It sounds like we will need to go to the hospital tomorrow (Thursday) and plan for either happening. I'll be posting more later. Nothing like feeling completely out of control with this situation. Feels like the adoption all over again.
The latest...
We need to be at the hospital at 7:15am and if they do proceed with her surgery, it will be at 9:15am. The procedure is a little less than 3 hours.
Keep those prayers coming!!
Hugs Kim. I know you wanted to have this done now and not later. Just rest in knowing God is in control and it will happen exactly the day and time He planned. I LOVE the photo btw and i thought when I read your post about it that it was an awesome idea! Thinking of you and praying for you to have peace in whatever happens tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteKim, I just read your email...What a roller coaster ride! Hopefully Josie can rest up today and will be ready for tomorrow. In the mean time, hopefully you can get some rest too. Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers. Krista
ReplyDeleteOh my...how crazy of them to change it like that!!! Well...the Lord knows what needs to happen and He's going to protect you guys so it all happens at the right time!! :) We're continuing to pray! I LOVE the picture of your hands! It's so cool!! GREAT idea! Keep us posted!
ReplyDeleteLove you guys!
Buffi
This is one wild ride!! Fingers crossed and prayers being said that surgery will happen tomorrow and will be easy and fast!!
ReplyDeleteI'm loving the picture, but not so much the uncertainty for you guys. I'm praying for God's will to be done. If it's meant for the surgery to take place tomorrow, let it be a huge success! If it's not meant to be, enjoy the fun of Christmas presents with 2 hands!
ReplyDeleteLove to you all!
Robin
Kim, I've been praying for you and Josie throughout the day...with the busy"ness" of my days lately, I didn't realize the surgery had been postponed. More prayers will be coming.
ReplyDeleteYou know, one thing I've learned since adopting Ellie, I don't have all the answers. Doctors don't have all the answers either. I'm learning I don't have to have all the answers, and God wants me to learn to just trust him.
Trust in the LORD with all you heart. Lean not on your own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and he shall direct your paths.
I pray you see His hand leading your path tomorrow.
May the Prince of Peace be your peace,
Robbie
Frustrating, I know. In a way, it would be nice for it to just be OVER tomorrow, but they'll do whatever they're going to do, as you know.
ReplyDeleteBTW, I tried contacting Sandi but she has changed her email addy and didn't inform me of the new(?) one (if any). Sorry about that.
The baking cookies pictures were so much fun. Looks like a fun time!
We will keep the prayers coming! Good luck tomorrow! HUGS!

ReplyDeleteCovering you both with prayer. Josie has just what she needs....a calm, sweet, smart Mama that will make sure she is well-taken care of before and after the surgery.
