I'm in no hurry to rush through August (believe me...I LOATH packing school lunches, Emma's homework stress and scrambling to get everyone out of the house on time) but LOOK what I found today when I went grocery shopping!!
Martha Stewart has a line of Halloween paper and it was just begging to come home with me. Aren't the designs lovely? For my new followers, Halloween is HUGE in our house and preparations take weeks (see here).
This time of year at my University is crazy busy, so sneaking in a craft after the girls are in bed puts me in my happy place.
I featured a tutorial on how to jazz up dollar store paper party hats on this post. It's the same concept, except I used my Halloween scrapbooking paper and black crepe paper.
I've got BIG plans for this fun Halloween paper. I'll probably save the rest of my Halloween crafting ideas for October, so be prepared..moo ha ha!!
You are so funny--and creative! I hear you about the happy place. Amazing how a hobby will soothe frayed nerves. :)
ReplyDeleteCurious, your 'happy place" involved scissors, Martha Stewart paper and the kids asleep. Add a glass a wine after done with the scissor work and I'm with you!
ReplyDeleteGreat paper!!
ReplyDeleteI see supermom is at it again!! LOL!
Hugs, Jill
I'm a sucker for cute papers still, even though I really want to do digital scrapping.
ReplyDeleteCuriosity has me asking...why do you love Halloween sooooo much? I remember from last year that you said that when your house was all decorated. What is it you love the most about it?
that is cool. SO funny too!! would you believe that we went to Party City yesterday to see if they had anything Halloween going on? We also went into Kmart in hopes of finding something...no luck though. Your hat craft makes me feel better! LOVE the paper :)
ReplyDeleteGlad you have lots of ideas to take you to your "happy place"....start up of school can bring on a load of stress.
Homework stress is the WORST. On everyone!! Definitely the worst part of the school year. ugh.
ReplyDeleteAnd, I won't let Lili look and see that you've replaced the Princess hats w/ halloween. She would be crushed :)
Cool hat idea Kim, I want to have a Halloween themed birthday party for Gavin one of these years, the hats will be perfect!!!
ReplyDeleteYep, Halloween has its grip on you already *haha*
ReplyDeleteYou are amazing

ReplyDeleteI've been checking in on your blogs...I've just been so busy to post or to even comment very much. Let's just say...life is happening...wow!
Anyway....hope you guys have a wonderful weekend!!!
