My little helper...

I had a lovely Mother's day. I couldn't have asked for a better day with my family.

Over the weekend, I got busy preparing all kinds of party decorations for Emma's upcoming birthday celebration. I have an insane work week ahead of me and so I got a jump start on decorating over the weekend. By the way, I am having so much fun with my my Paris Party kit from Paper Glitter which leads to my little helper story...keep reading.

Yes. Some of you probably recognize this Christmas tree. It was my Chinese New Year tree and my Easter tree. It's now become our French tree. Hey, I don't have any space in the basement since the remodeling project and I think I can find enough holidays/parties to decorate it seasonally...hee hee. If you click on the Christmas tree to make it larger, you'll see some beautiful vintage French images which were available from the Graphics Fairy.

Now, onto my little helper story. I've been saving cardboard cylinders (aka toilet paper rolls) to make party crackers. I need four total but only have three available. No problem. I'll just finish making the fourth party cracker later in the week. All of sudden, I notice that it's very very quiet in the house. Too quiet. No sign of Josie ANYWHERE. This is what we found downstairs.

At least she didn't try and flush the brand new roll of paper down the toilet!! She was just trying to help me finish up the party crackers.

Thanks for all your help, Josie.

Have a wonderfully productive week ahead. I know I will because I have the best helpers around!!

  6. Hey,
Can "seasoned girls" come to the Paris b-day party, too? Boy, I wish that we lived closer so that I could volunteer to help you with the decor and serving all those precious pre-teen girls!

I think our Asian angels are born with that "helping" gene. I could see Tori coming up with that exact plan. They are smart problem-solvers, too!

You deserved a great Mother's Day. . .glad it was such a wonderful day.

Many hugs and have a happy week!
