Friday night, Josie insisted that we needed to make pumpkin pie. They were suppose to have made pumpkin treats at preschool and it didn't happen. After dinner, we cleared off the kitchen island and got busy.
With the extra pie crust, I had Josie pick out a few of her favorite Halloween cookie cutters and we sprinkled cinnamon/sugar on top.
I put these in the oven with the pie and took them out after 10 minutes. These cutouts can be eaten individually, or used as a special treat on the pie. We think our bats they look rather festive flying in whip cream clouds!
Yummy!!
And yes. We did have pumpkin pie for breakfast this morning.
While we're talking about cookie cutters...
...they make great stencils for little hands.
Have a super Saturday!
We'll be spending our day getting our decorating groove on in the garage!
Party ON!!
