With some needle, thread and a few pom poms, you can string the eggs and make an Easter garland.
I also flattened a few cupcake liners and added crepe paper ruffles to further embellish my garland.
This bunny was originally in my grandparents clothing store (Alma's Ready-to-Wear Woman's & Children's Clothing) and has lasted through many years of retail and several moves to our various homes. I've also included a picture of my grandparents (I really wanted the girls to see this picture because it's one of the last pictures I have of my grandparents together at Christmas). The picture was taken on Christmas day in 1985.
Back to my grandparent's bunny....aren't her large eyelashes lovely?

What a lovely post. I really love how you flattened the cupcake liners, what a great touch and what a wonderful story about that special bunny, it is nice to have special holiday pieces like that to cherish the memories of loved ones.
ReplyDeleteKim! I LOVE that garland!!! I have a ton of plastic eggs.. was going to do an egg hunt for easter, but its supposed to rain so not so sure I'll be doing that.. but stringing them together like that is such a cute idea! my house is so small though and already packed so tight with sweet easter decorations, just not sure where I would put it.. but I do think i'm going to have to make it!
