Bieber Fever Tree

Just a week or so ago, my sunroom tree was all decked out in Easter finery.

The sunroom tree is a permanent fixture in our house and a family tradition has been to decorate it for approaching holidays (and some made-up holidays) as well as, birthday parties. To honor Emma's request for a Justin Bieber (rock-n-roll theme), I had to put on my thinking cap.

Drum roll...

Not too bad, considering I had no idea what I was going to do when Emma requested this birthday theme. The purple electric guitar is on loan from Josie and those 45 records that you see on the tree are from my personal stash.

Yes. I saved everything growing up.
You never know when it might come in handy again!

PS. I'm going to attempt to make a few of these for chips, pretzels...etc.
Could be fun...or a disastrous mess.

XOXO

  1. What a fun tree! Love the addition of the guitar and records. I have always wanted to make one of those record bowls, but have been a little nervous.
I can't wait to see this party come together -

  5. Love it when a simple Christmas tree can 'branch out' a bit! Can't wait to hear how the record bowls come out. Have a fun party.

  6. Love it! We are record freaks at our house. Chris saved all of his, but I really never had that many. When my Uncle Tom passed away, we inherited his massive collection with a brand new record player, CD, and cassette player. (For a later post I am planning.)

The record bowls shouldn't be too difficult. I had a friend who shaped some for a 50s party a few years ago. And if she can do it, I know you can!

Have lots of fun...You are an awesome mom!

  7. How Cute! That party is going to be a blast, and those bowls are very easy to make. I made a few of them for my musician husband's man cave. I also made a clock out of his favorite Led Zeppelin album. Oh, and I still have ALL of my old 45s too!
