A little inspiration & treehouse construction updates...

A few weeks ago, I shared my friend's chicken coop makeover on this post and I thought you needed to see another one of my favorite little house inspirations. If you've not visited Birdie Blue, you must. Molly's blog is gorgeous. She posted pictures of her darling little house on this post and this post. Here are just a few pictures.

You simply must visit her blog.
You won't be disappointed.
It's filled with beautiful eye candy.

Here's the latest construction updates on our treehouse.
Haven't the leaves framed it nicely?

Constructing the ceiling and loft was much more difficult than Chris anticipated due to lack of work space and attempting to do this without extra hands.

His body is paying for it.
Today's post is a mix of cell phone and decent camera shots.

This view is the wall opposite of the loft.
The shelf will be used for special items/displays.
Like I need an excuse to go shopping...hee hee.

This is the view of the ceiling and walls from the loft.

A view from the back of the room towards the door.

A view coming in through the front door.

Next up...PAINT!!
But first, we need to celebrate Emma's birthday party.

Insert LOTS OF SQUEALING!!
I can't wait to show you the party decorations.

Have a crafty/thrifty/festive weekend, friends.
I'll have lots of party pictures ready first thing on Monday.

PS. Yes. I'm using records as placemats.
I'm wild like that...

XOXO

  2. Have a terrific party, Emma (and all)!
So looking forward to seeing the treehouse with paint.
My hubby made a treehouse for our boys but it has fallen into ruin after so many years....I doubt that yours will suffer the same fate-it is so well constructed.
    Have a terrific weekend!
