The camera really doesn't do it justice. The pinks and reds are just beautiful. While I was there, I also managed to scoop up this bag of vintage hankies
I want to create a hankie banner by tacking them together on ribbon. I have a set of hankies in my craft room that I use as a curtain valance.
Aside from antique white beadboard walls, Emma wants hot pink accents throughout the treehouse. I'm going to give the girls my pink parasol from China to hang from the ceiling. It's currently hanging above the work counter in my craft room.
I gave the parasol a chandelier makeover by attaching crystal trim around the edges back on this post. A few vintage pink paper lanterns might make their way out to the treehouse too. This collection of birdhouses are going to get a slight makeover for the interior of the treehouse.
I might mod podge some scrapbooking paper on the roofs. I haven't totally decided yet. Aside from treehouse items, a few other goodies have made their way home with me over the last few weeks.
I've got plans to fill the tiny glass bottle with a flower bouquet made of buttons and I couldn't resist the purple violets on the platter. The chicken jam container is just perfect for my corner kitchen collection. That decorative spool of thread used as a picture holder is from the Rusty Rooster Vintage.
While I was at my favorite mission thrift store, I found this vintage basket and filled it with more ric rak, lace and crafting supplies that were on sale.
Everything was marked 50% off store shelves merchandise and their crafting and sewing supplies were plentiful.
All in all, some fun recent finds!
Happy Wednesday!

ReplyDeleteGOING FOR THE RED
“If forced to make choices,” she said,
“I’d go for the crimson and red.
I’d let go of green,
(Some think it’s obscene),
Embracing magenta instead.”

I did miss this...Oh My! That oil painting is gorgeous. The depth of the color is stunning. Love how you turned the parasol upside down. I have a tiny collection of lanterns now you would be so proud. Nothing as darling as yours but I have my eyes open now! What we need is a decorating party! Smiles...Renee

ReplyDeleteI wonder if you have to pay taxes for a treehouse as for a shed - if not, I'm building one as a garden shed!
