4th of July cupcakes!

I'll be home again in a few days and in the mean time, I thought you might need to see a fun patriotic dessert that I did last year with the girls.

It's super easy and super cute!

1. Mix up a batch of traditional white cake mix and divide the mix into three bowls.

2. Mix blue food coloring into one bowl and red food coloring into a second bowl. Keep white cake mix in the third bowl.

3. Scoop one color of each cake mix into muffin tin.

4. Swirl cake mix with a spoon or drink stirrer.

5. Bake and decorate.

YUMMY!

I also thought you needed to see my first Magpie Ethel purchase.

Isn't she lovely?

She looks right at home with my red, white & blue bottlebrush trees!

XOXO

  9. I always need to see some cupcakes! Hope you're enjoying your unplugged time at the cottage. The cottage that we go to every year in Wisconsin had WIFI for the first time this year. I have to admit that it felt a little weird, and I only checked email twice!
    Happy 4th!
