Beachy Give-away!

The patriotic decor has been packed away and I've swapped out my fireplace mantle with my summer & beach accessories.

Let's take a closer look. Please forgive the lighting.

That's a picture of me and my Dad. Summer of 1970.

The wreath that hangs on our front door is made from shells that we collected from Lake Erie many years ago.

The half bath off the kitchen also has a beach theme that stays up year-round. With the long West MI winters, it helps to see a bit of summer while the snow is still on the ground.

I love this toddler sailor suit.
The beach image came from a children's book.

The cabinet is filled with vintage items from Mackinaw Island. The island is one of our favorite vacation destinations. We haven't visited since Josie came into our family and we're toying with the idea of sneaking in one last vacation in August before school starts up.

I haven't done a give-away since my birthday in May and I've decided to share a few store-bought and hand-made items.

I used one of my vintage blue bottles and added a sweet beach scene, ribbon and shell. I also took a jar, glued some string onto the lid and added some beach shells inside, the bingo card is covered with several whimsical items, while the shell picks and starfish candles are from World Market.

Entering is super easy! All you need to do is leave me a comment on this post. I'd love it if you were a follower, but there's no pressure. The girls will draw the winning name on Monday July 18th at 7pm (EST).
Good luck & have a splendid weekend!

XOXO

  14. I'm so jealous of your tin shovel and pail!

Never been to Mac Isle but would love to. My mom went and brought back a DVD for me to drool over. I drooled until I saw it in the winter time....then I was grateful for being on the mainland!
