My own little house...

For ten dollars, this darling handmade dollhouse came home with me on Sunday from the Allegan Antique market.

I was smitten when I saw the tiny drilled holes in the window boxes (the $14 price tag which the vendor dropped to $10, didn't hurt either).

When I got home, I dug through my stash of vintage millinery flowers and filled each window box.

The interior needs a little updating.

Although my intention is to use it for additional storage in my craft room, I couldn't help but move in a few pieces of dollhouse furniture and storybook dolls.

I'm such a little girl at heart and I can't wait to start giving it a makeover.

I came home with several wonderful things from the Antique market. This is just the start. Get ready.

XOXO

  5. Aww, that's adorable. No shame in owning anything this cute. I just bought furniture and little props for my Blythe doll. Glad to see other women embracing the inner child, lol.

  10. Is Josie going to let you use that for storage?! What a cute idea, and I hope you'll show us how you filled each room. I have three old dollhouses, just sitting in the attic, because I have no room to play with them. I need a bigger house.....

  19. Your doll house is just charming, Kim! Those window boxes are just the cutest ever! You and the girls are going to have so much fun with this! And what a bargain! Scrapbooking paper would make great wall paper, when you are ready for your remodel. But, knowing how crafty you are, I bet you've already thought of that:)!

  24. Love it! I have a doll house, too ... the box said it could be put together in six hours, but it took my husband 3 days to finish it! One of my friends told me it was easier to buy a doll house and decorate it ... than to buy a new home .. when you get that urge to move!
