Day 1 on the Island...

So far, Mackinac island has been just as magical as I remembered four years ago. We are so spoiled to only live 4 hours away. I've included a few highlights from day one.

Be prepared for lots of flower pictures.
The flowers are just gorgeous on the island.

The last time we came to the island, we were a family of three.
It's been so much fun sharing this beautiful destination with my 2 girls.

    I hope it's not too hot there-we stayed at the resort when the boys were young and they didn't have air conditioning.
    I need to talk John into staying there someday soon.

    I'm glad that you are having such a great time on the island, Kim! The flowers there are amazing, aren't they? Second only to the fudge, I think! Hope you are on the mend, and feeling much better soon. Your hotel is gorgeous, what a great place to sit back and relax:)

    Amazing...I cannot imagine a better place to be forced to sit! No? Miss Josie is all smiles and Emma is happy to return for sure. Butterflies are gorgeous. My kiddos love those because they will often land on you in the house. Enjoy every minute...smiles...Renee
