So far, Mackinac island has been just as magical as I remembered four years ago. We are so spoiled to only live 4 hours away. I've included a few highlights from day one.
Josie's 1st ferry ride
Admiring the bridge from the boat
Splurging on treats
Admiring the butterflies
Our resort
This is where I'll be sitting with my walking cast while my family bikes around the island Monday morning.
Be prepared for lots of flower pictures. The flowers are just gorgeous on the island.
The last time we came to the island, we were a family of three. It's been so much fun sharing this beautiful destination with my 2 girls.
I hope it's not too hot there-we stayed at the resort when the boys were young and they didn't have air conditioning. I need to talk John into staying there someday soon. Enjoy your enforced rest! Looking forward to seeing more pictures! PS I stopped at your favorite antique place yesterday but no good finds.
I'm glad that you are having such a great time on the island, Kim! The flowers there are amazing, aren't they? Second only to the fudge, I think! Hope you are on the mend, and feeling much better soon. Your hotel is gorgeous, what a great place to sit back and relax:)
It looks like such a beautiful resort...my how lovely. Since you are slightly out of commission at least you will have nice things to look at. I love all of the pictures. Have fun!
Amazing...I cannot imagine a better place to be forced to sit! No? Miss Josie is all smiles and Emma is happy to return for sure. Butterflies are gorgeous. My kiddos love those because they will often land on you in the house. Enjoy every minute...smiles...Renee
Thanks for sharing this corner of heaven with your virtual friends! Adoro le foto, soprattutto quelle delle splendide dimore e quelle dei magnifici fiori!
Thank you for following our adventures. I always enjoy reading your comments. Happy crafting! Happy thrifting! PS. Ignore that "robot" verification. You can ignore/skip that step since I can't seem to remove it from blogger.
We will be there in September! We stay at Mission Point too. Beautiful place :) Have fun.
