This is
MY new shoe for the next four weeks. I finally went to a foot doctor on Tuesday because it felt like I was walking around on a broken foot and I couldn't get my left foot into a shoe because of the swelling. A couple stress fractures confirmed I wasn't crazy. This could make it interesting on our upcoming vacation to Mackinac Island. Life is never dull!

Oh know! I hope it heals soon. It's terrible to have a sore foot. My girlfriend has a similar problem right now and can't find any suitable shoes. Feel better!
ReplyDeleteYou poor thing. I know from experience, foot pain is no fun. I think that boot needs to make a visit to the craft room, I am sure you can jazz it up a little!
ReplyDeleteOh no! That stinks! Wishing you a super speedy recovery!
ReplyDeleteso sorry to hear about your foot! you'll need lots of extra tlc from your family on vacation, and you'll have the perfect excuse to sit with your favorite book and elevate that foot. no guilt involved...

Where can I get one? Seriously, sorry to hear about the foot. Maybe a little Bedazzling for it?
ReplyDeleteAww, Kim! Sorry to see your new footwear. I know from personal experience how a stress fracture feels, although mine was my tibia. Hope you heal fast and feel up to fun on vacation! Hugs to you!
ReplyDeleteUmmm, yikes! Hope that feels better soon.
ReplyDeleteOh my -- hope it feels better fast! Mackinac Island -- you lucky -- would love to go there!
ReplyDeleteHave fun!
Janet
ohhhh I'm sooooo sorry!!!!! I'm sure you will make it stylish though!!! :) praying you heal quickly!
ReplyDeleteLovely! I have a matching one for the other foot inc ase you need it. I broke my foot the day we left for China in 2005. Hobbled around for 2 weeks carry an extra 15 ibs. of love:). Returned home and had to have surgery. I refer to my bootie as my "Darth Vadar" shoe:)
ReplyDeleteTi auguro una rapida guarigione!
ReplyDeleteCerca di vedere il lato positivo: potrai dedicarti indisturbata a tanti "manuals crafts"!!!
Looks like a great opportunity to gussy it up vintage style or break out the razy scooter and move ahead of the pack! Smiles...Renee
ReplyDeleteWhat a bummer, Kim! Having foot pain is horrible, so hopefully this will help. I once had a foot/leg cast, and it made showering and everything else horrible! If I were you, I would lay around and take that thing off as much as possible! Take care!
ReplyDeleteOh no! Take care of yourself, my friend! Let everyone wait on you! lol And thanks for the VERY sweet comment this morning! Makes me feel special! ♥
ReplyDeleteOh poor you.But it will heal and thats the most important thing.Im a new follower and I did grab your cute little button.Take care!
ReplyDeleteOh no! So sorry to hear that, Kim! I hope you are doing better. Sounds like renting a horse and buggy is your best bet on Mackinac Island! Maybe you can add some glitter to your new footwear to jazz it up a bit:) Feel better soon!!
ReplyDeleteOh no!! No good :) But guess what? Now you get to be spoiled LOL Use and abuse that baby
ReplyDeleteOuch! My husband got a stress fracture playing tennis and had to wear a boot similar to yours. Unfortunately it took quite a while to heal. He tried to play too soon, which just made it worse, and finally had to take 6 months off from his team. One of my daughters friends also got one from dancing. (they really pound their feet in those hard shoes for Irish dance) and she got really frustrated when she had to miss some dance competitions. Stay off it as much as you can.
ReplyDeleteI have had to wear one of those on three separate occasions. Always in the summer. Finally I started investing in good (aka Expensive) shoes and never go barefoot and gave up running. I have not had a stress fracture in over 2 years now.
ReplyDeleteOh nooooooo....not fun to try to peddle a bike at Mackinac with that on! Oh wait...now you can sit in the back of a tandem and not do anything. :) Yeah...that would work. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry about your new shoe! Hope your foot heals quickly!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Janet
Ouch! Hope your foot heals soon!
ReplyDeleteOh no! I just got out of my boot...was stuck in that thing for two months for stress fractures and inflamed arthritis. Hopefully you'll be up and kickin' again before you know it!
