Fall Harvest & Photo-shoot...

Josie and I spent some time in our garden Saturday morning. We wanted to see whether any of our gourds and mini pumpkins were still thriving.

Our garden sits at the back of our property through the woods. I was surprised how many leaves were already down.

I love this shot of Josie's sweater.
We were pleased to see that Mr. Woodchuck, and the deer/rabbit families have left our gourds alone. However, I'm still mourning the loss of our pumpkins...sigh.

After picking a few sunflowers, Josie and I left our garden and wandered around the yard selecting a few special flowers for a fall arrangement.

Later in the afternoon, I convinced Emma to come outside for a fall photo-shoot. We had spent some time earlier in the day, playing with "temporary" hair extensions and she was more than happy to model them for me.

My two beautiful girls.
3 years later, I still pinch myself when I see them together.
Who would have guessed that all those years of
infertility
and adoption stress

would be such a lovely blessing in disguise.

XOXO

  6. Wow, I can't believe how long Josie's hair is (I would have commented on Emma's long tresses, but I read every word of your post first!). They are growing up so beautifully!

Any chance we can get together sometime?

  17. Greats moments in your garden!
