My weekend finds...vintage child's apron & time telling book

I'm headed up north for a work conference and not sure how much I'll be online over the next 2 days, so I'm doubling up on posts today. Last weekend, my favorite antique vendor had an advertisement in her booth about a barn sale just a few blocks away. Never one to miss a thrifty opportunity, I stopped by. I came home with just a few goodies, but they are ever so sweet.

This child's apron is a bit tattered, but I only paid $2.

I'm completely smitten with the rose fabric.

It even has a pocket for storing treasurers.

This apron will be proudly added to my collection in my craft room.

The other $2 item that I purchased was a 1944 time-telling book.
The graphics are just divine.

I'm jealous of the 8am breakfast schedule.
That's when I'm scrambling to get Josie ready for the bus stop.

Oh how I miss nap times.

May your upcoming weekend be filled with lots of treasures!
I'll be heading to the Allegan Antique Market on Sunday!
I'll also be sharing details about my
Halloween give-away
Sunday.

XOXO

  11. Oh great find and a steal @ $2! That apron pattern is one of my favourite children's designs. I hope the road trip goes well, it is hard being away from the little ones.

  14. Sigh, what charming finds. You'd never guess it but Helen is a sucker for charm. I guess we all crave what we find lacking in ourselves - which is why I LOVE your blog, girl. It's always such a lovely visit.
