It's the little things....

I unpacked some of my favorite Christmas decorations over the weekend. They include my collection of pinecone elves, miniature houses and toadstools. Shall we take a little tour?

My special collection is on top of my China hutch...away from little hands and kitty paws.

I especially like my cozy little houses at night.

In case you are feeling crafty, I shared on this post a tutorial for making these toadstools out of acorns.
You can also find my tutorial for making these cloth toadstools here.

Elizabeth in case you are reading, I adore your special toadstools and gnome. They are the perfect addition to my feather tree.

PS. Coming soon.
A walnut baby cradle ornament tutorial.
I'm making up for lost crafting time!

  1. I love every photo. I have never thought about investing in a feather tree, but now I am convinced I should. Those ornaments look magical. I am working on your pink tulle tree tutorial, but I don't think it will get finished in time.

  2. Your little city is precious Kim...love that! I know exactly why it's on top of the hutch...with myself also having kitty cats...Rocky sometimes likes to play bowling with my nativity scene under the tree...the people are the bowling pins...his paws are the bowling ball! Of course he does this when he hasn't gotten his way about something...lol...Makes us wonder what he'd do with us if we were miniature sized :0

Love the dollhouse and the room you finished in it is darling...I can't wait to see more of the inside of the dollhouse. I know your are going to have so much fun with that :)

    Big hugs,

  6. Kim, these are so cute. I made litte mice in their beds out of walnut shells one year. The hardest part was getting the nut to crack in two pieces. lol Would love to see that tutorial.

  15. The little pinecone guys are so cute. I have a couple, but they are in poor shape. Probably from my little hand playing with then years ago. you are wise to keep them out of the reach of the kitties.

  18. Your little village is so sweet Kim! I especially like the light-up houses you've put here and there. I'm really missing putting all of our decorations out this year, especially the girl figurines, but I learned my lesson when our little kitty knocked down a couple of the pilgrim candles for Thanksgiving!
