Flamingo croquet...

Josie's birthday flamingos have found a new purpose!  Croquet!

We recently purchased this lovely vintage croquet set and it was missing a few wickets.

No problem.  Our plastic flamingos have adjustable legs, just the right size for a few croquet balls.

I'm guessing the "official" rules of croquet don't include flamingos.

Did everyone have a happy Father’s Day?
We certainly did.

  2. As I recall, there are flamingos involved in Disney's Alice in Wonderland movie croquet game!!!

Our lawn flamingo has also had an Easter basket over his neck, a bundle tied in a baby blanket tied to him (neighbor's baby) and patriotic garland strung on him... Versatile right!?

  3. LOL- My gosh-that is hysterical. We used to have a "thing" about flamingos in our family and were always "planting them" on each other's lawns to see how long it would be before they noticed they were there!;>)

We got our croquet set out today but didn't play...darn it- and I so love croquet-xo Diana

  6. Use what you have on hand...very crafty. I would guess you had no problems asking Josie to play. We have played crochet for years. Very competitive household! Smiles...Renee

  7. I love it. Use what you have. They should invent flamingo croquet-so much cuter than regular wickets!
