Our 20th wedding anniversary get-away...

This weekend, the girls stayed home with our college niece (thank you Jenny) so that Chris and I could celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary.
We stayed in Saugatuck at a lovely bed and breakfast.
When we got married, we didn't have money for an expensive honeymoon.  This weekend we spoiled ourselves with lots of yummy food, strolls along the shores of lake MI, and antique shopping.

Seriously. It doesn't get any better than this.
A huge antique mall with a brew pub next door!

We can't wait to go away again and we aren't waiting another twenty years to do it.

  1. It sounds like a wonderful weekend. My husband and I always used to go away for our anniversery ~ we were lucky enough to have nearby grandparents for babysitting. I look back now and I am so glad we were able to do it, so many great memories.

  19. Hi Kim,

So nice that you were able to have a little getaway! We didn't have much money when we married either. Oh, I love antiquing. We did that last year for an overnight, in Pa.

    Hugs,
    Debbie
