Ship Ahoy!

When Chris and I were away for our 20th wedding anniversary, we did lots of shopping. One of the many things that came home with us, was this decorative ship wheel.  We thought it would be a perfect addition for the girl's tree house deck.

We surprised the girls with the wheel a few hours before Josie's birthday party on Saturday.  We really wanted to get their input on the best place to attach the wheel.  The best part. Chris mounted it so that the wheel really turns!!

Chris also added a periscope too. 

As you can imagine, the wheel and periscope were a big hit on Saturday with Josie and her friends. By the way, thank you for all the lovely comments about her special party.  Josie couldn't stop smiling all weekend about her friend party.  The festivities continue Tuesday night with our extended family!!


It's going to be a great summer with lots of tree house adventures!

    Oh- How cute! I love your treehouse. Love the ship's wheel-and that it really turns. We have a playhouse and I am hoping to have an old "pirate ship" for the grandboys coming up in the next couple of years. xo Diana

    I think those girls need some Sailor Hats to go with the wheel and periscope! Emma is such a happy teenager! My kids would have broken my camera at that age if I asked them to pose so often!

    I feel like a missed alot while I was gone. Josies party looked so cute! They must of had a great time with all the games and crafts and goodies. The ship wheel by the playhouse is wonderful and whimsical. Love it!
