Let’s Get Us Some Pic-a-nic Baskets!

Last September I picked up this picnic basket at the Allegan Antique market.

A few weeks ago when I was busy painting wooden bowls to make toadstools, I decided that my picnic basket could use a little makeover.

Fabric and ribbon freshen up the brittle handles.

Now, I'm not smarter than the av-er-age bear, but I know a good looking picnic basket when I see one.  Have a thrifty/crafty weekend, friends.

  5. That is such a terrific picnic basket (nice and roomy) and I love what you did with it. It makes me kind of sad that the weather has been too hot to even have a proper picnic!

  8. Love the picnic basket, my grandma still has one almost just like that. I'm sure it will transport some yummy treats out to the tree house.

  9. Just picked up a new basket at the thrift. Love them. Although I must say yours is far cuter than mine. Want to pack them for a craft picnic? Can't believe how much better your lighting is. Smiles...Renee
