Let’s Get Us Some Pic-a-nic Baskets!

Last September I picked up this picnic basket at the Allegan Antique market.  

A few weeks ago when I was busy painting wooden bowls to make toadstools, I decided that my picnic basket could use a little makeover.

Fabric and ribbon freshen up the brittle handles.



Now, I'm not smarter than the av-er-age bear, but I know a good looking picnic basket when I see one.  Have a thrifty/crafty weekend, friends.

    That is such a terrific picnic basket (nice and roomy) and I love what you did with it. It makes me kind of sad that the weather has been too hot to even have a proper picnic!

    Love the picnic basket, my grandma still has one almost just like that. I'm sure it will transport some yummy treats out to the tree house.

    Love your basket now, it looks brand new! I bought a picnic basket last year and finally got it painted and I started working on some embellishments. I like what you did to the handles, might just need to copy you! Your girls are sure growing up! Wishing you a wonderful rest of the summer!
