It's the Great Pumpkin!!

As you can imagine, we are HUGE Peanuts fans...especially at Halloween!
I had packed away this board game (an amazing Goodwill find from last year) and Josie and I have played it several times after re-discovering it again. My favorite six-year-old has also been re-arranging my Peanuts gang daily. They sit proudly in our living room on top of our CD cabinet.

Did you know it's there's even an  app for the Great Pumpkin?  I promptly downloaded it last night after the girls went to bed from loudcrow interactive.

It's narrated by Peter Robbins, the original voice of Charlie Brown and you can even create an avatar to go trick-or-treating with Charlie Brown and the gang.  You can also carve your own pumpkin, bob for apples and play Schroeder’s piano.  I had a great time playing with this interactive storybook which includes the dialog and music from the original 1966 animated TV special.   It's well worth the $4.99 (which is something I could easily waste on a specialty coffee and muffin in the morning).

    I love Charlie Brown and the Great Pumpkin is one of my favorites from childhood. Don't have too much fun with that new app. Happy Weekend!

    Oh Kim, How fun!! We love the Peanuts gang here at our house too, and especially the great pumpkin!! It's so funny, my grandson and I will go over the skit from the Halloween movie, about all they got from Halloween. You know, I got gum, I got a popcorn ball, and then he says I got a rock! So funny, I love it! Wait til my daughter hears about the app!! Can you do it from the computer too! Love your collection. We don't have any of the dolls.

    Don't you just love Charlie Brown and the Peanuts gang? We have friends who years ago bought Charles Schultz's home in Sebastopol, California...what a fun property...topiaries of all the characters!! So cute!! Love the game!!
