Probably not the safest way to decorate...

Yes.  This is Chris on an extension ladder balanced on our stairwell!!
The sacrifices we do for Halloween!

The clouds are made from quilt batting and wrapped around plastic light holders with fishing line.  Hooks hold everything in place.  Black lights cast an eerie glow and create lovely shadows on the ceiling.

Our witch has been around for several years. She greets our guests as they enter our front door.

Other reasons for a ladder inside the house right now include larger-than-life spiders and a Halloween banner hung from the vaulted ceiling.

We also have a bride and groom soaring around our dining room chandelier.

Each year, I keep finding more things to drape on the dining room chandelier.

There are so many special collections and rooms to share yet.  It's a nonstop party around here!

  3. You guys do Halloween like we do Christmas...way much. One of my Chinese co-workers who came to High Tea at my house told another colleague, "Her house looks like a department store." Yah, sure, lots of little villages, two trees, and vignettes on every flat surface!

  13. OMGosh Kim...........

All I can say is...when you're my age you won't be doing that anymore!!!!

I used to go all out for Halloween, but now I only save my energy for Christmas, my first love holiday, and Halloween gets a small nod with a display on my hall table. I'm too old to be climbing around decorating for each holiday.

However, your displays are magical and I know will create sweet memories for your kids to carry on.

    Hugs,
    Meri
