A stroll through my Christmas village...

My Christmas tour continues with more tiny treasures.  This time, I'm featuring my collection of  houses and miniature elves that are currently residing on my living room fireplace mantle .

Most of the houses were estate sale putz houses that received fresh makeovers with a bit of new paint and lots of glitter.

I've mixed plastic houses with putz cardboard houses.
Erica's home is busy with elf activity.
My mother made this little church several years ago.  I love the flocked roof.

This winter wonderland is made up of lots of white felt and frosted garland.   Such a happy little Christmas village.

  2. I love your Christmas Village mantle . . . I can imagine your girls dreaming of a life in the village as they look at your creation. So lovely Kim . . .

I remember a village with a church, a steeple and houses and stores in the window seat in our living room at Christmas time. The village laid on a cotton like felt that glitzened a bit like snow crystals. I would sit beside the window seat as a little girl back in the mid forties and pretend . . .

Thank you for bringing me those memories . . .

  15. You've created a magical little neighborhood! I'm curious if you made your felt icicles or not. I need some, but have been wondering if I should tackle it myself or just buy some. I bet anything you MADE them...knowing you! lol
