I'm now the proud owner of a Gurley turkey candle. Thank you, Mary!
You never know who's peeking at your blog and one of my husband's coworkers sent him home with this very handsome turkey Gurley candle. As you can imagine, my pilgrim family are very pleased with their newest feathered acquisition.
With the majority of the Halloween decorations put away, my fireplace mantle now holds my pilgrim candles, turkey planters and log cabin collection.
This extra-large turkey candle rules the roost at my over-sized log cabin.
Gobble Gobble.
That is adorable!! Gobble gobble!!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on getting the turkey! He looks right at home:@)
ReplyDeleteYour sweet collection of candles brings back memories of My growing up years in the 50s and 60s .Those were all around our living room every year. I've kept the turkeys.A wonderful look back in time.
ReplyDeleteI love this . . . I recently learned about Gurley candles, (I think I may have some in my Christmas boxes) from Red Gate Farm. The turkey is perfect with the pilgrims and the log cabins . . . . even more perfect!
ReplyDeleteDid you make the log cabins from Lincoln Logs or was this a "find" from days of long ago? Lincoln Logs were one of my children's favorites along with Tinker Toys. I still have the Lincoln Logs from the sixties.
I soooo enjoy all your seasonal touches . . .
Don't you just love Gurley candles? I a turkey too, but I don't think it's quite as big as yours!!

Kim, What excitement that your daughter got to play on Ford Field. It's so big, and she looks so small! All of these log cabins are so cute with your candles. LOL! I should get out my son's old Lincoln Logs! Have a great weekend! Elizabeth
ReplyDeleteYou have been getting a ton of great stuff and you deserve every bit. Your displays are always so sweet...smiles..Renee
ReplyDeleteI need the taller blue pilgrim girl! I have the boy and the Indian and a tall turkey. Hunting far and wide! I would never have thought to buy the paintless ones but they look so cute in your collection!
ReplyDeleteI have all my pilgrims and turkeys out ready for the holiday. My turkey collection grew this year...the number is nothing to gobble about.
ReplyDeleteThat's so sweet that a friend shared the gurley turkey candle with you! I like your pilgrims. :-)
ReplyDeleteI have several of the Gurley Christmas candles (angels, trees, deer, choir, etc...) but have not tried to collect any for the other holidays. Christmas is the only holiday were I go ALL OUT to decorate... I used to go gaga over Easter too, but have scaled down in recent years.
Love your sweet Pilgrim family, and the newest addition! Too cute! xo Heather
ReplyDeleteSo sweet! LOVE them all!
