A reveal and a Kim K miniature Christmas give-away!

Back in May, my mother bought me this 1940s Rich Company southern colonial-style dollhouse as a special birthday present.
It was one of two houses that came home with me that day.
I refer to this one as my plantation house.
I think the red and green colors are perfect for Christmas.
Earlier this summer, a fellow miniaturist emailed me a copy of the original ad from the toy catalog.
During the last few months, the plantation house had been in my craft room but is now making a grand appearance on top of my china hutch.
Colorful trees and a miniature snow storm have settled around the house.
One of my favorite blow molds is keeping a watchful eye on the house.
Another Santa is on the roof waiting to deliver more presents.
Here's the big reveal during the day.
And during the night.
Because I think everyone should have a little miniature Christmas house of their own, I've made a Christmas room out of a cigar box for my Kim K. give-away.
One of my favorite items is the hutch filled with Christmas cookies and presents.
Even Santa is peeking through the window.
Unlike big dollhouses, this one is easy to display and store.
In order to be entered in the giveaway, just leave a comment on this blog post.
Absolutely no strings attached!  Past winners are always encouraged.   This is a give-away for the pure joy of giving back to my blogging friends!  Entries close at 8:00pm EST Sunday, December 8.
Good luck and Merry Christmas!

  6. The Plantation House was a wonderful gift for you. And someone finding the ad and sending it to you , must have been great to receive . . . The cigar box house is so cute. It must take hours to make all the little pieces.

I like the nighttime look from the Plantation House too . . .

  7. Oh my! You never disappoint! The plantation house is amazing. The colors of it are so perfect to complement all your Christmas decorating. The cigar box is adorable. I love how you have Santa peeking in and all the treats on the hutch! I'm making notes so I can achieve this one day when I can start on my doll house. It's been so many years since I had my 1978 Van Buren doll house and I am almost afraid to start my big pink one; I don't why. I know once I get started, I'll be good. :) Maggie

Did I ever tell you my husband's family built their own plantation house? 8 bedrooms! It was the pride of the family and town but sadly it burned to the ground after they had moved out. :(

Kim-I have won two giveaways this Fall so I won't sign up for this one but OMGosh- some person is going to be SOOO very thrilled to get chosen for that cigar box! They will LOVE it!

  32. OH, I'm loving it, Kim! I didn't even mess with lights this year on mine, but I love the idea of putting the lights underneath the snow! So easy- I may have to reconsider that. My dollhouse was the very last thing I did, and I was pretty pooped out at that point- ha!
You don't need to enter me in the giveaway- we both know I've got way too many miniatures at this point- let someone else have a chance to have some mini fun!! :)
