What I did with all those estate sale Christmas stockings...

I borrowed this idea from Magpie Ethel. 
 Over the past two years, I've been rescuing handmade Christmas stockings when visiting estate sales.
They are now hanging up in my kitchen as a festive Christmas valance.
Now, I wonder if I could get some elves to help keep my kitchen clean?

    I love vintage Christmas stockings so much! I've collected a few over the years (but have never found as many as you have!) However, I tend to take them apart and use them for different projects. I love the way yours look over the window! I've been up to my eyeballs in various projects lately, but hopefully I'll be able to show my Christmas décor soon- can't wait to see the rest of your house!

    If you ever find the elves that do dishes, clean up after husbands, etc., don't be stingy.....send em over here, too! I'm so glad you are rescuing old stockings. I especially love the ones where lots of hand-work are on them.
