Celebrating Chinese New Year with our Year-Round Tree!

If you've followed me for awhile, you know that we have a year-round decorative tree that receives multiple  makeovers every other month (including some made-up holidays).

It's a slender tree that sits tucked in our sunroom corner.

It's now featuring an assortment of decorations celebrating the approaching Chinese New Year which begins January 31st.

As you can imagine, the CNY tree is one of my favorites.

 Josie's too.

Happy Year of the Horse!

XOXO

  9. It really is a treat to see your pretty tree and all the family fun you and the family share! I left my skinny tree up this year and put all the valentines on it. The one you made for me with the sweet China girl is there, too!

  10. What a festive tree! I like all the red. The dancing lions are my favorites during a parade. I think it's the pom-poms on the nose.

  15. It must be so fun to collect ornaments and accessories for all the various holidays! Your CNY tree looks so great, and I'm sure Josie loves it- I know I've said it before, but what wonderful memories for your kids- can't you imagine them telling their kids In 20 years, "My mom used to decorate a tree for every holiday...." I hope that I leave my kids with those same kinds of great memories!

  17. I love your idea of a year round tree. I actually left a little X-mas tree on my porch out still to try and do what you are doing. So far nothing is on it :) Your Chinese New Year decorations are lovely!
