Ninja moves

Way back at Christmas, Santa delivered a trampoline which has been sitting in our basement the last five months.
Santa got an amazing deal on this item because it was off-season.
With the last of snow behind us, the trampoline has been assembled behind the girl's special treehouse.
I grew up with a trampoline back in the late 70s early 80s, and safety netting sides didn't exist.
I'm glad safety nets are now fairly standard because  as you can see, Josie has  been practicing her Ninja warrior moves and acting out the characters from Kung Fu Panda.
I think Josie's summer will be spent defending our backyard from all kinds of villains.  Happy "almost" weekend!

  1. Oh- How our kids love their trampoline. As teenagers they would sleep out under the stars on it at our cottage...or have giggling fits lying under it. No safety nets were available back then and we only ever had one minor injury with all the dozens of kids that jumped on it. xo Diana

  5. Ninja moves huh? What fun. I had a friend who had a trampoline in her yard. Hers was dug into the ground so the surface of the trampoline was level with the grass. No falling off. We used to jump and jump and jump!

  6. What a bummer the girls had to wait 5 months before getting to play with their Christmas present.
We didn't have a lot of safety items, but we still survived.

  11. Oh, that looks like so much fun!! Hope she has a wonderful summer, keeping an eye on intruders. My brother had a trampoline set up so the kids could bounce from it into their swimming pool. I don't know if OSHA ever stopped by, but the kids sure had a blast!

  12. Yngwie had a trampoline and had a ball with it. Truth be told...so did I! I loved jumping on that thing and turning flips, just like a big kid!

Glad winter is finally out of there!

  19. Cute! When I worked for an orthopedic surgeon trampolines helped keep him in business. Glad you have safety net sides. :)

  20. They look like they're having so much fun! I've gone back and forth with the idea here. We had one when I was a teenager, and I remember some of our spills from it- I think I'd be a nervous wreck watching the kids on one, even with the safety nets!

And I'm drooling over some of your finds in the last post- those dolls are adorable, as is the vintage stocking!

  22. Oh I just read what Diana said! A sleep out on a trampoline would be so fun...for young people. LOL
We didn't have one growing up, and neither did any of our friends. Probably a good thing though, as I would for sure have broken something. Glad there are safety nets now!
