Moment of weakness...

On the way to work Monday morning, literally less than two minutes from my house, was an estate sale.
Yes.  Another 1940s  Rich plantation-style dollhouse happened to find its way into my van.

It definitely needs some gentle cleaning.
Good thing I have a whole box of furniture just waiting for this home.
I need another dollhouse, like I need a hole in my head!  I'm weak I tell ya!  My name is Kim and I'm addicted to vintage dollhouses!

  1. I think you are just at the right place at the right time. Think of it as an investment.
Keep preaching to your young driver. Show her the post.
That little stinker is not new in my care. I have hsd her since she was two months. Love her to pieces but I am worried about her behavior.
Have a great rest of the week. Hugs

  2. That's so great!!!!! What a way to start your day! You are gonna have so much fun...I mean even more fun. MORE, MORE, MORE fun on top of all the other fun you always have! You get the point! Yippee! The sales here on Long Island consist of ugly 80's mirrored furniture and faux marble ugly stuff. A whole lot of ugly. 80's isn't vintage--someone tell that to my fellow Long Islanders! I'm moving to Michigan!

  3. What fun! I know I'll find one too...one of these days! I put my new stove and cradle in my doll room today and they look so sweet. I don't know where a doll house would go. But if I find one, I'll figure it out! heehee! Have FUN! Hugs, Diane

I am looking for some kind of doll house, solid square box shape to make into a free library box to have in front of our house. Have you heard of them?

  11. I see vintage metal dollhouses from time to time and am always drawn to the colors and graphics on them. Luckily for me, the large sizes have kept me from bringing them home. Now the farms and barns that are smaller? Completely different story. I have a few :-)
