A few vintage finds...

During our Christmas break, Chris and I visited one of our favorite antique stores and came home with a couple of things for the A-frame

The $5 mini wooden skis are now part of my winter decorating.
The electric fireplace was a steal at $47.  Aside from looking very 1960s (the period of our A-frame), it actually gives off a tiny bit of heat.
Speaking of heat, it sure is cold outside this week.  BRRR.
It's definitely good ice making weather for our backyard ice rink.
Stay warm, friends.

  2. So sweet! What a groovy fireplace :)
It is very cold here. Winds are 25 mph and makes it feel below zero. Stay warm and happy. Maggie

  5. What wonderful finds! Stay warm and safe during the bitter cold weather that you are having right now. We are going to see lows in the teens and highs in the twenties but nothing like what your are having. Your lake side home is just beautiful.

  7. An ice skating rink - what fun! We did that for our kids when they were younger too. We had a long extension cord from the house to a tree beside the rink and hung a trouble lamp there so they could skate at night. What fun memories this brings! Stay warm.
