March 23, 2015

We came. We saw. We conquered the weekend.

As soon as the work day was over Friday,  we threw together our luggage and packed a box of groceries and hit the road to the A-frame.

Have I said how much I love that it's only 40 minutes away?
By 6:30, I had a pot of pasta cooking and we were ready for a night of board games, coloring books and reading.
It was a cool weekend but sunny, and we spent time exploring the Muskegon river.

Chris also finished installing new window blinds and the upstairs railing to the girls loft.
The weekend zipped by, but it was just about perfect.
Have a great week!  I'll be back later with pictures of my year-round tree all decorated for Easter!

  6. oh- These posts make my heart hurt just a little-remembering all the time we spent at the cottage with our kids when they were little. We didn't even have a TV there for years and years.

What a beautiful spot you found!!! Your kids will always remember the times they spend there now. xo Diaan

Looks like it was a wonderful weekend indeed and apparently warm enough that the lake had thawed! Hope you have a great rest of your week.

  16. I just love it. We've made a few trips with our new pop-up camper, but it's always such a chore packing and unpacking. How I would love to have a place that's always there, ready for my family to unplug and spend time together!
