It's the most wonderful time of the year...

I realize we aren't like normal families.  That point was abundantly clear as I got giddy watching my husband give Mrs. Spider a makeover.  Yes.  That's chicken wire, an old card table, landscape fabric, duck tape, glass baby food jars, and loads and loads of Christmas lights.  Each leg on Mrs. Spider is at least 10 feet long and she's been with our family for the last 11 years. She was even on the roof of our former house.

While Chris is starting to organize the outdoor decorations, I've been getting our indoor decorations ready. My fireplace mantle is done. The pictures really don't do it justice.

My favorite addition this year is the glass dome filled with doll eyeballs.

The girls even got pumpkin stenciled brownies for dinner Wednesday night.
It's definitely THE most wonderful time of the year in the Kenward household.

P.S. Remember to leave a comment in Tuesday's post to win your very own Kim K. Halloween creation.
Good luck and I hope you win!

  3. Okay Kim,
Doll eyeballs. . .Yep, you are a Halloween fiend! Ha!Ha!

The mantel looks great! If I can get it together, I want to do a "masquerade" (sp?) theme this year for my living room mantel. Right now it's just decked out for fall.

    Happy decorating . . .

  6. I wish we lived close enough to come to the big party.

I am pretty sure Dave is going to want to make a spider like that. And he will likely require further instruction. :-)

  10. I really, really need to get out my Hween decorations. Of course, they don't hold a candle to yours. The spider is amazing and the eyeballs … yuck. :)
