Paper Doll Ideas

I recently came across a box of paper dolls that Emma used to play with. There's something so inviting about them peeking out from the box. I think I need to cover their box with some pretty fabric/trim and introduce them to Josie.

For any of my friends who subscribed to Mary Engelbreit’s Home Companion magazine, you have to agree that her paper dolls were one of the neatest features included with each issue.

Anyways, I went searching for additional paper dolls and came across a site which features Betsy McCall paper dolls from the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s that can be printed off.

Aside from playing with them, they would be so cute framed and hung in a little girl’s room. Or, you could use them as part of your Valentine decorations. I’m really looking forward to exploring this site further.

While I’m showing off my paper doll ideas, I picked up this set of vintage paper dolls at the Allegan Antique Fair a few summers back and I’m looking forward to displaying it in my new arts/crafts room.

I’ve got all kinds of older toys that I’m looking forward to hanging on the walls or displaying on top of my cupboards in the new room. Be prepared to see all of my vintage goodies throughout this remodeling project. I'm really excited. Can you tell?

Now, go grab some scissors, paper and print off some paper dolls! Happy Crafting!!!

  6. Hello stranger!!! I have been such a HUGE slacker when it comes to blogging....but my life has been SO CRAZY and really turned upside down. Not only am I working now...but we are in the process of taking care of Mark's parents...trying to sell their house, our house and find one that we can all live in. I never dreamed we'd be taking care of children AND parents at the same time. WOW...lots of life changes going on.

Anyway...I just wanted to let you know that I miss you and all your great posts. I haven't forgotten about you guys. I think about you often. I even got your Christmas card...sort of. I got the envelope and it was empty. Guess the card got lost somewhere in the mail. :(

Anyway...I just wanted to take a moment to say hello. They closed all the schools today because we were expecting an inch of snow....**hee hee** welcome to Alabama!! So, I decided to take the time to catch up.

I hope you all are doing wonderful. I sure miss frequent communication with all my blogging buddies!!! Talk to you soon.
    Blessings,
    Buffi

  7. Don't forget you can also print those on magnet paper and make magnetic paper dolls. On a cookie sheet they make good car entertainment, but we always have a set on the fridge.

  8. When I was little I spent endless hours playing with "A Dozen Cousins" paper dolls. I think I wore them out. I designed homes, autos, and tree houses for them. I loved every minute. Thanks for sparking my memories.
