Merry Christmas to me!

Last February, our house went under major renovations which included a new mudroom, a new bathroom/laundry room, Emma's own bedroom and the creation of my own craft room.

Yes...it was an expensive month.
And I'm still finding drywall dust.

One of my purchases last year was this hutch for my craft room.

Chris helped me repaint it and I hung cafe curtains in the lower half to hide my craft supplies.

Surprise surprise. I need more storage.
The above picture shows a less cluttered hutch.
Now, it's so filled up, it's overflowing.
Guess what I found at my favorite antique store?
Another hutch!!

Isn't it lovely??

Chris will be picking it up Wednesday evening. I've already got big plans for it in my craft room. It's going to be perfect for supplies and seasonal decorating. Just you wait! I've already informed Chris that he's off the hook for a Christmas present. Merry Christmas to me!

  3. Your craft room looks like a great place to create! I giggled when I read your comment about still finding dry wall dust. We are having a newly constructed bathroom and hallway dry walled right now, and the mess is incredible! :)

  6. Love the hutch! I have a similar one but it sits atop a dresser and the drawers are falling apart. I love the idea of putting a bookcaske underneath and a skirt to hide my containers!! GREAT idea! Mine is white--I think it needs a paint job! Thanks for the inspiration!
