"It is a happy talent to know how to play."
~Ralph Waldo Emerson
My craft room has become a wonderful excuse to have toys and art supplies out and
USED all the time.

You just can't be sad in this room.

Are you ready to play? I promised to show you how to make two different versions of my Easter candy cups and here they are.
Version 1

These blue/white checked cardboard boxes were purchased at the
Dollar Tree in a bundle of eight. They were with the baby shower supplies.

All I did was cut off the top cardboard enclosures and added a crepe paper ruffle glued along the inside edge.

I then glued ric-rac along the front edge and a vintage Easter decoration on the front. I used tacky glue and it held everything very quickly in place.

Version 2
These candy cups were purchased from my grocery store in the baking aisle. All I did was put a line of tacky glue around the center of the cup and pleated crepe paper around the cup, pressing the crepe paper folds onto the glue.

I added a line of glue near the bottom of the cup and placed my ric rac on top of the glue to give the cup a finished look.

I added another vintage Easter image to the center to finish it off.

These candy cups would even be cute at a baby shower, wedding shower, or at a birthday party.

I used a scanner on a few of my favorite Easter children's books for the images, but you can do a general search on the internet for vintage Easter cards and come up with all kinds of images to print. You could even decorate your cups with Easter stickers. I think I might just need to go buy some Easter chocolates now that my cups are ready.
Happy Crafting!!
