Saying goodbye...

Although I cut back way back on blogging and staying on top of reading blogs, thank you so much for stopping by throughout the year.

Thank you for saying hello or for just being a silent observer.
Thank you for letting me show off pictures of the girls, my latest crafting endeavors, playing with my dollhouses, decorating for Halloween, my quest for the perfect vintage item, or our obsession with remodeling our Aframe cottage,

It's so nice to "meet" so many wonderful people from all over the world that share my same interests.

Thank you! I am truly inspired by all of you!
Happy New Year and Goodbye 2015.

Merry Christmas to me! Another dollhouse!

As you know from my many posts about dollhouses, I'm avid collector and I love decorating them for the holidays as much as I love decorating my house.
I just happened to be visiting my favorite antique store last weekend and this little wooden dollhouse managed to hitch a ride home with me!
 Yes. I'm weak.
But in my defense, the price was very good.
With its red brick exterior, it looked like it was needing a Christmas holiday makeover.
At my last birthday, my mother gave me these special Victorian dollhouse dolls and made their tiny beautiful clothes.

Merry "almost" Christmas friends!  Be sure to take time and play.

Christmas snippets

It might not look like Christmas outside, but the inside of our house is in full holiday swing.
Estate sales have been good to me this year for my putz houses and Gurley candle collections.

The choir boys are back making their annual appearance.

I've also got extension cords everywhere with my ever-growing blowmold collection.

I've also added several more vintage Santas and vintage snowmen this year too.

The countdown continues!

Christmas hugs!

Christmas at my plantation dollhouse

It's beginning to look like Christmas around my Rich toy company plantation-style dollhouse.
Colorful trees and a miniature snow storm have settled around the house.
Several reindeer are delivering gifts while Santa is on the roof waiting to deliver more presents.

Merry Christmas miniature style!

Let there be light!

We spent a quick 24 hours at the Aframe this weekend.
Just enough time to add some festive decorations and Christmas lights.
Santa and a few of his reindeer even found their way to the lake.
I just love the time we spend at the lake, even if it's only 24 hours.
Have a cozy and festive week ahead!

Reliving my childhood

I recently stopped at one of my favorite mission thrift stores and spotted a long box on the floor marked Toymaster cardboard electric fireplace.
Could it really be the same fireplace that I remember from childhood photos?( Christmas 1970).
The $20 price was an absolute steal (especially after I see how much they go for on ebay).
Not knowing if all the pieces were there, I decided to take my chances and purchase it.
As you can see, it's pretty darn fantastic. I'm totally reliving my childhood with this faux fireplace.

My mom even gave me the felted sequin Santa that you see on the fireplace back in 1970.

Have yourself a very merry vintage Christmas!  Happy December!
