Happy Easter week!

Can you believe it's less than a week until Easter?
Which also means spring break is very close for our family!!
I know my family is looking forward to a much needed vacation from our schools.
As much as I don't talk about religion on my blog very much, we do honor and celebrate the real reason for Easter,  but I also really enjoy getting all my special Easter decorations out.
I wasn't kidding when I said I have three full tubs of decorations now.
It's not nearly as much as Halloween or Christmas, but my estate sales and blogging friends have been very good to me.
Happy Easter week, friends!

Happy mail & Easter has arrived at the plantation dollhouse!

I'm glad you all don't mind (or you graciously humor me) when I post my miniatures and dollhouses.

My plantation dollhouse has officially received another holiday makeover.  A few bunnies are visiting and they've been busy redecorating for Easter.
Doesn't the house look extra festive at night with the tiny egg lights on the roof?
The special Easter bunting was made by Patti (Paintin Patti).

She and I were paired in Viv's Easter swap and this beautiful vintage inspired bunting was included in my box.
If you haven't visited her blog, it's one of those sites that you could spend hours happily exploring.
She's so talented and I am so in love with everything she sent.  Thank you, Patti!

In case you're wondering, here are a few of the handmade things that I sent to Patti, including a few things for her own dollhouse.    Speaking of dollhouses, I also received some happy mail from Debby (Cozy Blanket).  She sent me one of her handmade mini gardens.

Aren't blogging friends the best?   I'm feeling so spoiled.  Have a wonderful weekend, friends.  Be sure to take time to play!

My 2015 Easter Tree Reveal!

Sunday afternoon when we returned from lake, I spent time decorating our year-round tree .
I'll be honest, I nearly panicked when I realized how soon Easter really is this year  and I hadn't decorated the tree yet.
My Easter tree is filled with lots of eggs, handmade ornaments, floral picks and anything Easter related.

I'm now up to three full tubs of Easter decorations.

I do believe my Easter decorations seem to be multiplying like rabbits.

It doesn't hurt that I have generous blogging friends who have sent me presents and I have also found a few things at estate sales this past year.   Aren't those very large honeycomb eggs, fantastic?

I've said this before, but decorating for the holidays brings me happiness and I guess there could be worse habits.

I still have a few more Easter collections to show you, as well as my special exchange from Patti, and my Easter dollhouse to unveil.  Happy Easter, friends!

We came. We saw. We conquered the weekend.

As soon as the work day was over Friday,  we threw together our luggage and packed a box of groceries and hit the road to the A-frame.

Have I said how much I love that it's only 40 minutes away?
By 6:30, I had a pot of pasta cooking and we were ready for a night of board games, coloring books and reading.
It was a cool weekend but sunny, and we spent time exploring the Muskegon river.

Chris also finished installing new window blinds and the upstairs railing to the girls loft.
The weekend zipped by, but it was just about perfect.
Have a great week!  I'll be back later with pictures of my year-round tree all decorated for Easter!

TGIF

It's Friday and it seemed to take FOREVER to finally get here.
Let's hope the weekend slows down.
We've got big plans for relaxing at the lake.
Happy first day of spring!

I'm just getting started!!

I'm starting to pull out my Easter decorations.
After months of such cold weather, I'm ready for happy spring treasures.
Welcome back Easter friends!

Happy 7 Years!!

On March 16, 2008, we were in Nanchang China and officially became a family of four.

We've been blessed beyond measure with our two daughters.

This may seem silly, but Emma wore this pink shirt while we were in China and Josie now fits into it.  I can't believe how quickly time has passed!

Happy 7 year forever family anniversary!

The power of adoption is a beautiful thing.

PS.  Sunday evening, we broke our backyard ice skating record.

The girls were on our backyard ice rink at 7:40pm  March 15th.  That's two days longer than 2014.  We're officially ready for spring!
