Nana was up using a walker in the hospital hallway yesterday. Not sure how far or long she was able to walk, but this is major progress. She hasn't been able to walk in weeks because of the fluid build-up. At this point, she's lost over 60 pounds in fluid. Additional diagnostic tests are needed before they can provide us with a prognosis, but the doctors want more fluid to be gone first. Keep those prayers coming.
I've got another simple and inexpensive craft...snowflake garland.
Dollar Tree is selling these snowflake cutouts (6 in a bag). I purchased 2 bags because they had 2 different snowflake shapes and I wanted to alternate shapes on my garland. The length of my fireplace only needed 6 snowflakes total. Other supplies include fine glitter, white glue and ribbon.
Step 1. Coat the snowflake with white craft glue.
Step 2. Sprinkle glitter and let dry.
Step 3. Thread your ribbon through your snowflakes.
Step 4. (optional) I added snowflake scrapbooking stickers found in the $1 section of Target to the center of each snowflake.
See what you can do with some glue, glitter and ribbon. Now, isn’t this a fun garland?
Go grab some while they are still available!! Happy Crafting and Merry Christmas!
What wonderful news about Nana! We will certainly continue to pray for her.
ReplyDeleteI just love the Dollar Tree. And the tree and snowflake crafts are great. Thanks for the tips. . . (We have another community kids social in a couple of weeks.)
Check out our site in the near future for our hand and foot turkeys. With Aunt Cindy/Mom's help, they turned out great. And my mom loved receiving them as a surprise.
I just love the borders and accents on your pages. Is this something you purchased or do you get them online? Various shades of pink is my red for Christmas decor.
Have a great Wednesday. . .
Cindy
Great news about Nana!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful mantle decor..... one of the things that I love most about Christmas is glitter! Everything is better covered in it!
This is a great garland craft for Christmas. I'm an editor for FaveCrafts.com and I've just linked to this from my post on this topic. You can read it here. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteGirl,
ReplyDeleteYou are unbelievable! Crafty Queen! Santa needs you working up at the North Pole :)
I love it because I never think to use snowflakes! Can stay through January.
ReplyDeleteLove the garland. So glad to hear Nana is up and about.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad to hear that Chris' mom is doing better. 60 pounds of fluid??? Oh my goodness....the poor thing!
ReplyDeleteYour craft is sooo cute! What a cool idea!
So glad to hear that Nana is up and walking around. Still praying that she regains some of that fluid weight she lost. And love the idea of snowflakes... they don't have to come down right away. Heh.
ReplyDeleteI hope Chris's mom is feeling better ... all that fluid loss has to make for some improvement. Thinking of you all.
