Christmas in Chicago...

We spent the weekend in Chicago with our best friends. Downtown Chicago (especially Macy's) is simply magical at Christmas. Here are a few of my favorite pictures from our adventures. And "yes" it was FREEZING in the windy city!

It's always such a treat when we get to visit them. They are our best friends, despite the 200+ miles between our houses. Our girls can't get enough of each other and they are the kind of friends you can stay up with all night long and never have a lull in conversation. Thank you for a fabulous time, Andrea, Andy & Ali! Everyone needs a WINDY (bitter cold) CITY experience every now and then.

  3. What great photos, glad you had such a nice time! Macy's looks just beautiful, and I've heard that the Christmas market is wonderful. Sounds like you got back just in time, I heard there is a bit of a mini snow storm coming to Chicago!

  4. I just love Christmas in the big cities! We may have to try Chicago at the holidays...Now I know you indulged a bit a the Christmas market. So what did you buy?

The girls (and you and Chris, too) just had the holiday twinkle that only joy with friends can bring. So glad you had a great time.

I bought some of those ornaments at Dollar Tree, too. You can't beat the price and they are just beautiful! The kids and I are going to decorate with some AFTER Christmas. Let you know how it turns out!

Hope your short week is going well.
    Holiday Hugs!
