Brown paper packages tied up with string...

While strolling my local Dollar Tree on Friday, a few items made their way home with me.

Supplies:

Gold flower ornaments (they came five to a package and are already glittered)
Tulle ribbon
Brown postal wrapping paper
Tape
Glue gun
*optional: miniature flowers, white glue and fine white glitter

The package of gold flowers were beautiful on their own, but I had a set of miniature flowers that were just begging for some glitter and glue so I hot glued them to the center of the flowers, brushed them with a bit of white glue and dusted them with fine white glitter.

The packages were then wrapped with the brown paper and the tulle ribbon was added with the gold flowers as the final touch. Be sure to act surprised when you see these Christmas afternoon, Mom!

We had a fabulous weekend in Chicago visiting friends.
More pictures to be posted Monday evening.
I promise to get caught up your blogs.
I've got a 3 day work week...yippee!!
Ready for Christmas?

More great ideas, Kim! You are amazing.
I am finally decorating. I feel like I am Mrs. Scrooge this year. Just lack energy and ambition.
You have an over abundance of both!
Have a great short work week!

  4. I really am in love with your packages! They are gorgeous, and are gifts in and of themselves! I need to make a mad dash to the Dollar store to get some of those pretty flowers! And the tiny flowers are the perfect touch, too. Where did you find them? So, so pretty!

  5. I love to wrap gifts with brown paper! You can also wrap a strip of "regular" wrapping paper around a brown paper gift, add some raffia, and you have one beautifully rustic look to your gifts!
Happy "last three days of work", my friend!
