We couldn't have asked for better weather for Josie's superhero party. It was loads fun and it's fair to say that I'm officially tired.
First of all, I have to share a super cheap way to make capes (without sewing). I was wandering around the Dollar Tree and came across this red table runner. I brought it home, cut it in half, added a few embellishments with hotglue and then used safety pins to attach it. I made one for my father and one for Emma.
I've been hinting all week that Chris was going to build a bat cave and he pulled it off using a patio umbrella, black tarp and lots of clamps.
Chris even created a special computer for the bat cave complete with a special red emergency button.
I have to end this post by giving my husband a HUGE Father's Day shout-out.
Thank you for all you do.
You make MY life and our girls lives pretty darn amazing!!
♥

It is quite clear you all need to go into the party business. I can't believe some of the stuff you come up with and how fantastic it turns out...the cake is divine. Happy day to Chris and Josie. You really outdid your self...congrats...Renee
ReplyDeleteBoy, what a wonderful party! I love how everyone dressed like a superhero! So very cute! I bet Josie loved it all!
ReplyDeleteYou can plan a party for us anytime! What a great time y'all must have had! BTW, when my oldest son was about 3, he lived, breathed, and was Superman. My FIL gave him several VHS tapes of Superman cartoons (original 1940's), and he was hooked.

You guys seriosuly throw the best parties :) I was thinking about the weather for you all as it was POURING buckets down here...so Im glad to hear everything was perfection.
ReplyDeleteOkay, now Im off to convince Justin we need a Batcave
I saw the sneak yesterday, and it's still open without comment! I'm awful. But it looks like the party was a wonderfully imaginative gala. My favorite part of the shebang are the $0.50 capes and the batcave computer. Awesome job on the whole thing, right down to the cake, and the lovely Asian crime fighter.
ReplyDeleteI love all the outfits!! What an amazingly fun party...Happy birthday, Josie!
ReplyDeleteWhat SUPER Incredible FUN!!!!!!!! Lots of work by you and it all paid off!!! ; )

ReplyDeleteWhat a great and fun party you had for her!

What a FUN party for EVERYONE!! I'm trying to decide which pic was the BEST...quite possibly grandpa towering tall buildings, but then who could be cuter than Josie Batgirl? ;)
ReplyDeleteWhat a super party. I love all the attention to details.
