A few CNY Dragon crafts...

Did you have a good weekend? It certainly went by too fast at our house, but I did manage to spend a few good hours in my craft room on Saturday as well as a quick trip to my favorite antique store (future post in store). While Emma was busy with homework, Josie and I experimented with a couple of dragon crafts from the Nick Jr. website for Chinese New Year.

The first craft is a dragon ribbon streamer. Instructions and a template can be found here.

His tail blends in with our CNY tree, but it's a long red ribbon and we glued yellow pom poms onto the ribbon. This second dragon can also be found on the Nick Jr website. We also added special pom poms and sequins to this dragon.

This dragon would make a wonderful
table centerpiece!

Be sure to save your egg cartons.
More dragon crafts coming!

Happy Monday! Happy Crafting!
Happy Year of the Dragon!
XOXO

  6. Happy Monday, Kim--
Thanks for posting all the great ideas for CNY. Tori and I finally finished our decor and tree. I love it that cutie-patootie has her jammies on while crafting. That's when we get our greatest inspiration!

Looks like you had a great beginning to 2012. I hope that your father-in-law is doing okay. It was a blessing that all of you could spend some quality time during the holidays.

Thanks for sharing all your lovely photos of the girls, crafts, and decor. Oh how I wished we lived closer. Tori and Josie (and big sis),and you and I could really get some crafting on!

    Much love,
    Cindy

  12. Hi Kim,
I agree with Vivian! Josie is a lucky little girl to have such a wonderful Mommie who spends quality time crafting with her and you guys are blessed to have such a sweet little girl! I will have to say that the match was made in HEAVEN wasn't it! My weekend was spent on pain meds sleeping the time away when I finally got relief enough to sleep, ice packs, and lots of soaks in a tub full of hot water as hot as I could stand it!! You have a wonderful week and I love seeing all the craft goodies you come up with!!
    Hugs,
