The Easter parade made its way onto my China hutch!

Before foot surgery, I decorated the top of my China hutch with a few of my favorite Easter decorations. I can see the Easter parade perfectly from my "recovery" chair/footstool in my living room.

The Easter countdown continues at our house.

PS. I've got my post-op doctor appointment later this morning. I'm going to ask my doctor for knee scooter to get around the house. My crutches and I are not good friends. I'm thinking the knee scooter will be give me some much needed mobility. I'm even having fantasies of Chris rigging my wicker bike basket to the front of the scooter so that I can carry things again. Stay tuned!!

  2. adorable decorations and the photos are so soft and special. Good luck at the appointment, we are all thinking about you, while you have such pretty things to look at, I don't imagine you are the type who likes to keep down. Keep us posted!

  3. Your hutch with the big cardboard cut outs on the front just drip with sweetness. I enlarged it to make sure I didn't miss a thing. Just think what you could do to your scooter! Smiles...Renee

  6. Such cute decorations.
I about killed myself on crutches(sp) when I was young....and in the house.
I just talked to my friends' husband. She just had her 6th foot surgery. She has lupus. I feel so bad for her.
Do take it easy so you will heal and don't undo anything.
Hoppy (he he) Easter. I know not too funny, huh.

  7. If you do end up rigging a basket to the scooter, of course I'm going to need to see a picture of that!
I'm really enjoying all of your Easter decorations, because you know what? I didn't decorate at all inside this year! I've been so busy in the gardens that my back won't let me go downstairs and carry up the boxes. Oh well. Good luck today at the Dr.!

  8. Crutches are no fun. I remember having to use them, and, boy, did my arms hurt. I hope that you get that scooter!

In the meantime, your hutch looks just adorable. As always, all your vintage decor is just wonderful.
