Emma's Varsity Marching band made a brief appearance for the pregame show.
Then, the rain started and we all got drenched. They ended up not preforming at halftime, but we were still proud parents.
This morning, I attended my first-ever estate sale.
It was the second day of the sale and everything was 1/2 off. The vintage Christmas and toys were still in abundance. This is what came home with me. Yes. That's another Chinese Checkers. I couldn't resist at $2!! That box is packed full of goodies and I have a load of vintage aprons soaking in the sink.
I seriously have the estate sale bug. I promise to share my treasures next week. Laundry awaits!
Wow! Lucky! There are rarely good estate sales here... and definitely never anything that looks like that! Another fun, new hobby for you!
ReplyDeletesuch fun!! I just got back from more craft supply shopping.. IM sick!! LOL!

How exciting for your daughter. Hopefully the next game won't get rained out. I didn't realize you had never been to an estate sale-they are addicting. When you show the aprons, please tell us what you soaked them in, I'm always looking for answers on that front.
ReplyDeleteGreat finds for you, Kim! We once went to estate sales and auctions, and they were both great fun for us! I rather miss them.
ReplyDeleteToo bad about the rain and the band. We had our outdoor plans altered today because of rain.
xo Nellie
Oh what fun finds...but not so much fun with the rain and the band. I hate when things like that happen after everyone is all pumped for it. Blessings to you and your family this weekend- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteEmma looks terrific in her band outfit i wish i could hear the full ensemble. Those finds look incredible, such Christmas goodness. Looking forward to a report, I am so glad that a little part of someone's estate is going to someone who will love and cherish it.
ReplyDeleteI believe we experienced the same storm, it even shut down the airport for awhile!
All it takes is one good estate sale and you'll never be the same again. I would have dived head first into those Shiny Brites!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness...that is some amazing stuff!! I have only been to one estate sale and I found two vintage cameras. Swoon! :) I rarely see estate sales around here, tho.
ReplyDeleteLet me officially welcome you to estate sale land and from your photos it looked like a good one! I can't believe they had that much left on the second day! Congrats and can't wait to see the treasures.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to soggy Emma!
GET OUT OF TOWN! All that Christmas stuff the second day!? Half Price!? Argggg! I will never find that many Shiney Brites! Get the iron out, that's phase two after all the soaking in the sink!
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful Christmas finds!!! You sure came home with a ton of things!!! Not bad for your first estate sale!!

I can't believe all those left-over toys and Christmas stuff! You are sooooooo lucky!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI still cannot believe your luck. This is more than I have ever brought home from a sale. I am so happy that you had a chance to go and enjoy the fun. Smiles...Renee
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful goodies at this sale! I haven't been to one in years...I would go crazy, I'm sure! Have fun!
ReplyDeleteYou go girl! I have never been to an estate sale but I am sure it would be fun! Can't wait to see your treasures!
ReplyDeleteHooray for football season!
Uh oh, the estate sale bug has bitten you! Looks like some wonderful finds. Emma looks so cute-brings back memories form my son and marching band a few years ago. Enjoy it all!
ReplyDeleteMy goodness...what a haul! You are the Queen of estate sales.
ReplyDeleteWOWZA!!!
ReplyDeleteKim, what a haul!! Good for you!!
I used to be hooked on yard sales and estate sales but now I have been biten by the Thrift Store bug and it is more convenient for me right now...
Hugs,
Deb
