Happy Halloween to all!

May you indulge in a few extra sweets today.

The weather isn't going to be fantastic for trick or treating this evening, but perhaps all the extra lights at our house will generate some heat!

Happy Halloween!

I speak for the trees!!!

This year, Josie decided she wanted to have a Dr. Seuss Lorax pumpkin for her school pumpkin patch.
I tried to find faux yellow fur for his mustache and eyebrows, but ended up hot-gluing fuzzy yellow yarn onto felt. His nose is an orange pom pom.

A tissue paper blossom becomes the top of the Truffula tree.

Happy soon-to-be Halloween!

PS.  Continued prayers for those in the Sandy's path. May you be safe and sound from the storm.

Our GREAT pumpkins!!

Each year, Chris goes to his favorite pumpkin patch and brings home at least 20 pumpkins.

He is quite the mad scientist when it comes to carving.

Here are a few of the many pumpkins that he carved this year.

PS.  Thinking of everyone in the Sandy's path. May you be safe and sound from the storm.

Recipe for a festive Halloween party!

A few ingredients to concocting a fun Halloween party Kenward-style!

Ingredients:

3 face painters/tattoo artists

We asked my college niece to bring some of her college friends to help with the face painting and Halloween tattoos at this year's party.  We kept the girls busy all night long.

10+carnival games
A few of the games were on loan from one of Chris's elementary schools.  Thank you, Lakeside.

Handfuls of candy and sweet treats

1 popcorn machine
Thank you, Lakeside Elementary.  YUMMY!

1 easy crafting activityPipe cleaners and mini wooden dowel rods make perfect wands.

Too many over-the-top Halloween decorations to count

Mix all the ingredients together and enjoy 4 hours of party fun!

Chris came as this year's MLB Triple Crown Winner...Miguel Cabrera

It was a great party with over 100+ guests.  I was so busy playing hostess that I didn't take nearly as many pictures as I have done in years past. Don't worry though.  Halloween continues with Chris's 15+ carved pumpkins on my next post!
