I speak for the trees!!!

This year, Josie decided she wanted to have a Dr. Seuss Lorax pumpkin for her school pumpkin patch.  
I tried to find faux yellow fur for his mustache and eyebrows, but ended up hot-gluing fuzzy yellow yarn onto felt. His nose is an orange pom pom.

A tissue paper blossom becomes the top of the Truffula tree.

Happy soon-to-be Halloween!




PS.  Continued prayers for those in the Sandy's path. May you be safe and sound from the storm.

  1. Who'd a thunk of a lorax pumpkin! He turned out great. I bet hes the bestest pumpkin in the patch!
    we have survived the storm here.. still have power. and I believe the worst of it is over for us. I cant see outside yet so I dont know about tree damage. all the schools are closed. I wish work was too!
